Put on your Dancing Shoes and Canter Towards Kentucky!
A wonderful night out for equestrian enthusiasts will provide a great opportunity to support Australia’s eventing riders heading to the World Equestrian Games. The formal dinner to be held on Friday 3rd September at the Crowne Plaza Norwest, Sydney will be in support of the six riders selected to compete at the WEG in Kentucky in October . Get into your dancing shoes and join in the excitement of a fundraising auction at this fabulous send off for our Australian team.
The funds raised from the evening will be donated to the Australian team riders and individuals who are selected to travel to Kentucky. Some of the riders currently in contention include Megan Jones, Sonja Johnson, Christopher Burton and Stuart Tinney from Australia along with UK based Aussies Sam Griffiths and Paul Tapner.
Megan, Sonja and Stuart have represented their country on many occasions resulting in a combined tally (so far!) of team gold medal, two team silver medals and two team bronze medals. Chris won the HSBC World Cup Qualifier at Sydney 2010 and is now aiming to represent Australia at his first World Equestrian Games. Paul Tapner was this year’s winner of the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials and Sam Griffiths winner of the 2010 British HSBC World Cup qualifier as well as 3rd placegetter at 2009 Badminton and Burghley CCI4*.
The Australian based riders hope that you will join them for a great night out of good food, good company and lots of fun at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Norwest.
