Jess Somerfield has maintained her lead of the CCI4*-S riding Finch Farm Carpentaria at the Tweed Equestrian Queensland 3 Day Event in Tamborine, Queensland after cross country day.
Jess and Finch Farm Carpentaria jumped clear around the Ewen Kellett designed CCI4* track but took it steadily, adding 22 time penalties to finish the day on a score of 70.5. Local rider Matt Gaske riding Leads The Way completed in a slightly faster time, adding 19.2 time penalties but picked up 20 jumping penalties to finish in second place on 77.9, giving Jess plenty hand for tomorrow’s showjumping.
Madison Gunther has moved to the top of the CCI3*-S riding Delarno NPE while Georgia Bradford riding Sweet Couture and Kadi Eykamp on Bellhaven Chatterbox have maintained their leads in the CCI3*-L and the CCI2*-L respectively.
Andrew Cooper also still holds first place riding Makers Mark in the CCN2*-S, but his wife Maddie has closed the gap, now in second place on board Mandela.
