Go West, eventers

We all know that the Western Australian riders travel for qualifications – now it’s time for the Eastern states to return the compliment!

With the cancellation of Quirindi some riders may be chasing qualifications and what better way than to take a little time, make a holiday of it and head to Western Australia?

Perth Horse Trials conduct the only FEI CCI event in Western Australia each year with the Wooroloo International 3 Day Event taking place from 27th to 29th August (Saturday to Monday inclusive) 2016.

The event provides plenty of chances to compete your horses across the grades by hosting;

  • CCI3*, CCI2*, CCI1,
  • CIC2* and CIC3*
  • CCN105cm
  • CNC 95cm and 80cm

The Course Designer is internationally recognised Wayne Copping, who was the CD for Adelaide for seven years up to 2014, designed the Pan Pacific Games in Canada in 2015 and many, many other events around the world.

      They are a friendly lot in WA!

“The course is situated on the Wooroloo Prison Farm property, where we have held events since 1981.  It is an all weather course, with loam/gravel, excellent grass cover, rolling hills, and includes a water complex and natural quarry element.  It is a course that encourages open galloping, with fitness a significant factor.  There are ample camping facilities, showers, good range of great food, and we include a Welcome Riders and Officials Party, and Riders Party during the event. We also have a wonderful trade village, with over 40 stalls offering a wide range of goods “says Event Chairman, Kerrie Robbins

“Any riders who are interested in coming to Western Australia from the eastern states would be made most welcome, and we will facilitate helping with pre-event accommodation, yards, training facilities etc”

What are you waiting for? It’s time to head West!
