Look out for Nigel the Wallaby at Wallaby Hill

You won't be able to miss Nigel at Wallaby Hill Horse Trials this weekend - he's the massive wooden wallaby taking a rest and he’s the first 3* jump on course!

For those not in the Southern Hemisphere, a wallaby is similar to, but smaller than, a kangaroo and although many riders and horses in Australia have no fear of kangaroos, as we recently saw on course at Albury International, some might find it a little daunting to jump a rather large reclining wallaby at the first fence

B'doing. Aussie eventing at Albury .......

Nigel Sardeson of Sardeson Sculpture created the unique wooden sculpture, which was recently assembled at Wallaby Hill Farm in the Southern Highlands of NSW where the CCI event takes place this weekend. The Mike Etherington-Smith designed course has always been beautifully built but Nigel the Wallaby adds a new dimension and we’re really hoping that next year they will add a fence of rugby players wearing green and gold to continue the theme!
