The cameras are in place and we’ll be ready to roll at the new starting time of 8am at Ballarat Pony Club Horse Trials tomorrow morning.

With most of the dressage and show jumping completed today, Pakistan’s Usman Khan riding AIK Kashmir (also known as Kasheer) leads the Open Grade 1 after both phases with a score of 56.5 and a few penalties in hand over second placed Lisa North on Magical Mystical Merlin (62.5) heading into tomorrow’s cross country.

In the Pony Grade 1, Clara Galvin leads on board Royal Star Cha Cha having added nothing to her dressage score of 37 in the show jumping phase.

The Grade 3 classes in both Open and Pony Club will show jump in the morning and all competitors will head out on cross country, finishing in the morning to avoid the worst of the heat.

There were some dressage divas out there today with Corinne Doodt on Disco Gossip scoring 16 in the first phase of the Open Grade 4.1; they had one rail down in the show jumping but still lead the class on a score of 20.

In the Pony Club 5.1 Chloe Anstee riding Corio Elegance also produced a sub-20 score and lead the class after dressage and show jumping on a score of 17

It’s going to be a hot one tomorrow but still lots of fun! Stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for video snippets and more …..
