It may have been a little soggy for cross country day at Quirindi CCN but the seven prize winners of our cross country videos seemed to find the conditions easy to deal with

5* rider Emma Bishop pipped Heath Ryan at the post on cross country day to move up from fifth place after dressage and show jumping to win the Simon Smith Plumbing EvA95 Open.

Emma and Windouran Johud (video above) added just 2.4 time penalties on the final day to take the win on a score of 28.5 ahead of Heath riding Jaguar Calling R (28.9) and Hayley Frielick riding Highlands Riversong (31.80)

Hold Ya Horses EvA80

Tiani Stewart led from pillar to post on board Claire De Lune to win the EvA80A (video above) on their dressage score of 29.10 thanks to some fancy footwork on slippery parts of the course and Cathryn Herbert (who also took second place in the CCN3* on Wimborne Constable) won the EvA80B riding CH Colette.

Marsh Carney Saddlery EvA60

There were three sections of EvA60 with Bridget Martin riding Just Red winning the EvA60A, moving up from second after the dressage to win on a score of 34 and Junior rider Amelia Razon and the incredibly cute Bells Mountain Hopscotch making the cross country look easy during their win of the EvA60B to win on a cracking score of 17.8

Niamh Wouters and her thoroughbred Just Rusty, an apt name for the first event back after lockdown, were not rusty at all and made easy work of the EvA60C to win with several penalties in hand on a score of 33.10, moving up from fourth after the dressage with double clear jumping rounds

Hygain EvA45

Mara Mara McGavern not only won the EvA45 class riding Koorana Timeless Edition but also took second place on MP Estella ahead of ahead dressage leader Breanna Tillitzki riding Frankie

Well done to all of the winners and thank you to all the fence judges, officials and volunteers who sat out there on a very soggy day!
