Horses for sale at Puhinui!

      Emily Cammock and Shaw Lee

An Eventful Life will be filming all competitors on cross country at Puhinui - find out more here

Emily Cammock’s horses Shaw Lee and Impeccable may be leading the Honda NZ CCI3* and Vet Associates CCI1* classes at Puhinui International 3 Day Event after dressage today but Emily is not being over emotional about them as she has a pressing need for a new truck

“They’re both for sale!” she laughed at the press conference (You have to love Puhinui press conferences – probably the most entertaining of any event in the world!)

Emily leads the CCI3*on board Shaw Lee with a score of 47.6, just pipping Jock Paget on board Snow Leopard in second place with 47.7, and Bundy Philpott riding Tresca NZPH in third with 51.80.

Like Jock, it has been a while since South Islander Emily has competed at Puhinui but she is looking forward to tackling the Tich Massey’s tracks on both horses tomorrow

      Emily and Impeccable

While she has very little in hand over Jock on a 3* course notorious for being difficult to make the time, she has a few penalties spare in the CCI1* with Impeccable on a score of 43.4 with Cherie Jacques on Black Gem in second place (45.7) and Greer Caddigan on Mr Mancini in third (47)

Emily Cammock

Hopefully Jock’s overdue baby won’t make an untimely appearance and we will get to see him on cross country tomorrow

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to ride one of Tich’s courses so I’m looking forward to that as he’s one of my favourite course designers. Early on the course is going to feel a bit like a go-kart track , it’s turning a lot and it’s got a couple of tough lines to skinnies and a double of corners and there’s quite a few ditches. There are a lot of questions being asked in the first six minutes”
