Madeline Wilson takes CCI 3 Star at Sydney International

CCI3* winner, Madeline Wilson and I'm Bruce

27 year old Madeline Wilson on board her nine year old gelding I’m Bruce has won her first 3* title and it is a big one, the Sydney International Horse Trials. While second placed Soigne Jackson jumped clear, Madeline had one rail down in the final phase but it was enough to secure the first big win for the young Queenslander

Andrew Cooper was literally the last man standing in the CCI2* for a win on Hunter’s Hill and he backed that up with a double in the CCI1*, winning this class with Doubled Vision who led from start to finish on his dressage score

Katie Taliana held off two CCI4* winners to take the CIC3* on Trevalgar II, who has come back into competition this season with a vengeance after a year of international eventing competition and it was the Australian International 3 Day Event 2* winner, Andrew Barnett, who proved what a stable of good horses he has at this level, winning the CIC2* here on APH Sparky

Christine Bates and Jimmy O’Reilly took the CIC1*
