No competing - boo hoo

Now what's in here then mum?

Billy Sparkle Pants (BSP) and I have been working hard in our lessons.  Sadly, there is no competing for us this year with things all falling apart for us with lost of little set backs.  However, I am very excited to be back training with Kirsten Beard-Adams and seeing loads of progress in both myself and in BSP!

I can actually feel a difference in my riding and the way BSP is responding and as always, he tries his heart out.  We are really improving and I can’t wait to be back out competing.  I am SO missing show jumping and eventing!

In our last lesson we dealt with some rain which we are used to, but I also found BSP acting rather stroppily and at first, tried to ride him through his little crankypants explosion, but then he still didn’t feel right so we stopped and Kirsten checked him over for me.  We found he had a pulse in his hoof and heat.  So we think we’re expecting an abscess.  Boooo!  Can’t seem to catch a break this year, but it’s not all gloom and doom.  Things will get better and I can’t wait to show you all how much we’ve improved.

In the past month, apart from riding, I have also completed 4 courses, been working on my Disaster Relief Team where I have secured our first partnership with NARGA, an animal recuse group and I have been doing some diving.  I am also still working full time, so it’s been a very busy and slightly stressful time, but I love it.

Until next time,

Keep living the dream!

With love,

Jenna and BSP xox
