Tourist time at Bellarine

This is my first post for 2014. We have been busy over the break providing riding for the tourists and holiday makers. When the weather is hot everyone goes to the beach and when it is cool they try other things around the Bellarine Peninsula like horse riding.

We have built 4 new shelters and the stables are progressing well. There are 2 new thoroughbreds on the team as well as a few home bred and some that have been with us a while so most days I will sit on six to eight horses. There are also a number of horses being broken in or about to start and I look forward to getting a few nice ones off to new homes soon.

It remains to be seen if we can get back overseas this year to further our progress from last year. Money, time and family are all things to considered but I am enjoying taking my riding further and all the horses and our students are better for it as well.

Lastly I have started teaching at Werribee Park on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We take the riding school horses along and teach the full range of students. If anyone is qualified and interested in some part time coaching work, we will be looking soon.
