500 days to go to Normandy WEG

Fabien Grobon

We were delighted to meet Fabien Grobon (above), managing director of the Normandie 2014 Organising Committee, at Le Garnd Complet, Le Pin au Haras in Normandy last year. He must be one of the most charming Managing Directors we have ever met and of course we love the French accent!

Here Fabien talks to Céline Gualde (yet another beautiful French accent there) about the latest news from the FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy, including an invitation to volunteers and tickets on sale from June.

500 days before the Games [UK] by JEM_FEI_Alltech_2014

Fabien makes the point that volunteers from all around the world are welcome so why not give it a go? The World Equestrian Games is one of the most exciting events you will ever attend and Normandy is just wonderful. You can find out more about volunteering here

Weg 2014 mascot Norman

And what would a Games be without a mascot? The official mascot for 2014 is, of course, called Norman. We love his breeding; it must have been a shuttle stallion from Kentucky.

Talking of Kentucky, the title sponsor Alltech marked the 500-days to go to the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy with the official opening of its 33rd European office in the host city of the Games – Caen which is its third office in France.
