Things are heating up at Victoria Park for the Deloitte Australian International Three Day Event with final renovations coming together in the Grandstand and the top dressing of the Main Arena completed. Course Designer Wayne Copping and Operations Manager, Cameron Pagon are also trucking in the first loads of jumps to be put into place. Wayne will be starting to place the fences in Victoria Park followed by those in the Middle Park 15 and finally all the new tests in Rymill Park (with a few exciting additions there) .. after a wonderful wet winter the Parks are just beautiful and the footing is Ab Fab!

The biggest event in the Australian Eventing season doesn't arrive without some vision! The experienced group of Gill Rolton - Event Director, Geoff Sinclair - Vice Chairman, Belinda Lindh Media and Marketing , and Wendy Hunt EA liaison have ensured that a 'classic' and memorable event will be delivered to you this year. Also working hard on the Board this year is Adelaide City Councillor, Tony Williamson and Treasurer Marilyn Tregilgas. As the event grows and evolves bigger and better each year, they welcome a new board member and Chairman— Graham Ingerson. Graham is a past South Australian Minister of Sport and has been on the V8 Supercars Board so he knows how to grow major events and loves South Australia. The officials for the event this year include Anne-Mette Binder. Anne-Mette has presided over many of the most prestigious equestrian events in the world including last year's WEG. She judges "pure" dressage to the highest level and has trained dressage horses for top competition. Until November 2011 she was a member of the FEI Eventing Committee paying particular interest to the task of training of officials, as befits a former Head Master. Her husband Christian Struck is a course designer and Technical Delegate while their son, Jakob, is an enthusiastic teenage competitor. Next year, Anne-Mette joins will Chair the Ground Jury of the 2012 Olympic Games in London where she may well be judging some of the riders she sees here in Adelaide. . ..bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise, Anne-Mette will no doubt be expecting to see the best here in Adelaide in November 2011.

There are also some special attractions for the event. After the cross country on Saturday, it‘s time to Party with the Stars in the Coopers Eventers Bar. Enjoy a gourmet roast meal and desert while re-living the days events on the big screen. Then it‘s party time. Clayton and Kelvin Fredericks from Southern Stars Saddlery will present a brand new Southern Stars Jump Saddle valued at $3,295 to the rider closest to optimum time across all classes. Southern Stars also have provided an Asmar Equestrian All Weather Rider Jacket to be presented to the Best Dressed party goer .. so dress to impress! This will be a night when everyone gets together and has heaps of fun. Limited tickets only so get yours now - $10 for riders, $20 for everyone else This year the event also features Australian Dressage sensation Brett Parbery and his horse Victory Salute. Brett will run a Dressage Masterclass on the Friday and it‘s sure to be standing room only. Brett holds the Australian record for the highest Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle score. The stunning list of achievements chalked up to this combination include 2010 Australian Dressage Champions, 10th World Cup Final 2010, 10th 2010 Aachen Grand Prix and Kur and 2nd at the 2010 Hickstead World Dressage Masters CDI 5* Grand Prix Special.
