Lucinda Green talks about London 2012 and Barbury

Lucinda Green

Lucinda Green is a legend in the sport of eventing and no stranger to Australia. Alison Duthie caught up with her earlier in the year when Lucinda was teaching at a clinic in Camden, NSW (CLICK HERE for our training tips section - scroll down for training tips articles from Lucinda).

As well as being a great instructor, Lucinda still enjoys competing and spent last weekend at Barbury Castle Horse Trials riding her horse Cry Freedom in the CIC 2*. If anyone ever gets depressed about riding a horse that is fabulous on the cross country but struggles with the dressage and showjumping phases, Lucinda's comments about Cry Freedom will make you realise you're not alone! Lucinda’s helper on the weekend was her friend Sharon Ridgway; well known here in Australia and overseas as the person to go to when you are looking for that special eventing horse at eventers.com.au.

Thanks to Lucinda and Sharon for providing us with this audio update where Lucinda talks about competing at her local event, the pre-Olympic Barbury International Horse Trials and her role as the commentator for Channel 9 in Australia during the Olympics. I’m sure many people will be delighted to hear we will have her fantastic commentary throughout the all of the London 2012 equestrian coverage on Channel 9.

Lucinda will hopefully be back in New Zealand/Australia in January/February 2013 when we’ll be sure to catch up with her at one of the clinics and bring you more of her insightful training ideas
