William Fox-Pitt to return at Burnham Market

William Fox-Pitt at Burnham Market 2015

William Fox-Pitt’s horses were competing at Aldon on the weekend but William wasn’t in the saddle just yet.

Harry Meade rode Reinstated, the horse that William fell from at Le Lion d’Angers in October, while Hector Payne competed Balu Gidran, Red Kite and Yes I Can. However it won’t be long before we see William back competing, as he is aiming for Burnham Market the first weekend of April according to his website

“I have been checked by the specialist and have been cleared to compete.  Yogi came down this week and we jumped four horses together and it very much feels like all systems go.  A big thank you to everyone who has supported me through my recovery.  I am looking forward to working with Chilli Morning and the rest of the horses and getting going with the season”

The Barefoot Estates Burnham Market International Horse Trials is the first leg of the Shearwater Insurance Tri-Star Grand Slam which is offering £50,000 for the winner of three of the five CIC3* events in the series at Burnham (April), Belton International (April), Houghton International (May), Hopetoun International (June) and Burgham International (July).

An Eventful Life will be videoing all competitors on the cross country at the Barefoot Estates Burnham Market International Horse Trials from 1st-3rd April as well as at Belton, Houghton and Hopetoun. Full details coming soon ...
