Fontainebleau CICO3 Star Nations Cup 2014

     Vittoria Panizzon and Borough Pennyz are just edged out by Elaine Pen but it's very close at the top

 

After an influential cross country day at Fontainebleau in France for the first CICO3* Nations Cup of 2014 Dutch rider Elaine Pen leads the individual classification riding the chestnut mare Vira.

Elaine, who has had a good start to the season in Portugal, picked up only 0.4 time penalties on the course, putting her just in front of the dressage leader Vittoria Panizzon riding Borough Pennyz. Both are on a score of 42.4 which will make for a very exciting finish in the final phase today

In third place is France’s Eric Vigeanel riding Qatar du Puech Rouget on a score of 42.8. France, with three team riders in the top ten lead the Nations Cup competition while the leading German rider is Michael Jung in fifth place on Fischer Rocana FST on 47.4

The only Australian rider is Lucinda Fredericks on Flying Finish, sixth after dressage they added 13.2 time faults on the cross country to go into the show jumping phase in 20th position

In 21st is Bill Levett’s previous ride One Two many NJ, now ridden by Britain’s Nicola Wilson who is also the top placed British rider on her stunning mare Beltane Queen in sixth place on 47.4
