Following the successful launch of the exciting new competition ‘Arena Eventing’ in 2015, British Eventing has announced the return of the two phase event for the 2016 season alongside title sponsors British saddle maker Kent & Masters Saddles.

Held at BE90 and BE100 levels, the two phase event sees participants contest a course of both show jumps and cross country fences, set against an optimum time, with the opportunity to qualify for Championships at prestigious venues Blenheim Palace and Blair Castle International Horse Trials. The competition is an ideal introduction to the sport of Eventing and is open to both Members and Non-members of British Eventing.

Combinations can qualify for the 2016 Kent & Masters Saddles Arena Eventing Championships by accumulating points in each qualifying fixture. The qualifying series takes place at a mix of locations across the country and at both BE affiliated event venues as well as a number of other show centres.

Winners of the Championships get the opportunity to compete at the stunning venues alongside an impressive prize package including; a Kent & Masters saddle of the rider’s choice, cash prize (1st – 3rd places), BE training vouchers and BE Membership prizes for the highest placed non-members.

David Holmes, Chief Executive of British Eventing commented; “Arena Eventing provides the perfect setting for riders at BE90 and BE100 levels to experience the thrill of Eventing at some of the most iconic locations in our sport. It is also wonderful to see the support from Kent & Masters Saddles for the second year and we very much look forward to seeing competitors enjoying this brilliant series in 2016.”
