Get well soon Peter Gillis

Peter Gillis and Silent Destiny looking good earlier in the day at Wallaby Hill

The only problem with being an equestrian journalist who has a family member involved in eventing is that very occasionally accidents do happen!

Alison Duthie has been busy at Wallaby Hill Farm Horse Trials this weekend to cover the event for An Eventful Life but also to help husband Peter Gillis who was riding Silent Destiny in the EVA105A and Jimmy in the EVA105B.

Peter had a fall from Jimmy on the cross country today and is in hospital in Bowral waiting to be operated on tomorrow for a broken wrist

Our apologies therefore but Ali’s full 4* report from Wallaby Hill won’t be up until tomorrow as she needs to make a quick visit to the hospital this evening – not only to visit Peter but also check out some suspected broken toes in son Thomas’ foot! It’s been quite an exciting weekend at Wallaby Hills it seems ……

Anyway in the meantime, here are a couple of photos from today and we’ll hopefully have the results available shortly

Get well soon Peter (and Thomas) and it's time for a gin and tonic, Ali!
