Rob Palm has withdrawn Koko Story from the Australian eventing squad previously named for the World Equestrian Games at Tryon and US based Ryan Wood is to take his place

Rob Palm has withdrawn as a Reserve rider from the Australian squad due to his 11-year-old thoroughbred gelding Koko Story having suffered a virus after returning from competition at Le Pin au Haras in France.

“We got onto it quickly and he’s now 100 per cent fit, sound and happy” says Rob “But in the best interests of my horse and his future we decided to pull the pin on WEG.”

Koko Story will now enter quarantine in the UK on August 30th to return to Australia while US based rider Ryan Wood and his horse Woodstock Bennett have been given the call up as Reserve rider

“I have spoken to “Bennett’s” owners and associated connections and we are thrilled for him to be named as a Reserve for the World Championships” says Ryan
