Liz Halliday-Sharp has motored into the lead of the CCI4*-S at Barbury International on the 11-year-old Deniro Z with a score of 27.5 after the first day of dressage

The USA’s Liz, who is not an eventing rider but also racing car driver and commentator, leads the top class at Barbury in Wiltshire ahead of Britain’s Alex Bragg on Hester (29.4) and Zimbabwe’s Camilla Kruger on Biarritz II (29.7) with the rest of the large entry list to complete dressage tomorrow

It was all change in the CCI3*-S classes too with Hannah Bate moving into the lead of the Section B ahead of Andrew Nicholson on As Is and Piggy French on Calling Card. Yesterday’s leader Izzy Taylor is now in fourth place on Springpower.

In the CCI3* Section A Brazil’s Marcelo Tosi and Starbucks lead the charge with a score of 25.9 ahead of Adam Harvey riding Picasso V and yesterday’s leader Izzy Taylor now in third place riding PSH Lava Flow
