Advance tickets are available online for the 37th anniversary Belton International Horse Trials, incorporating the Lycetts Grantham Cup. The event, which takes place from 31st March - 2nd April 2017 in the deer park surrounding the imposing seventeenth century Belton House, is generally recognised as the big event leading up to the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials just a few weeks later

It may be a warm-up for Badminton but sometimes it isn’t so warm! Snow forced the cancellation of the Intermediate cross country in 2016 but the organisers of Belton, Bede Events, soon had the show underway again as the sun came out in the afternoon for some great cross country action. The 2016 CIC3* class went right down to the wire with Australia’s Chris Burton stealing the win as the very last rider of the day (watch his cross country ride here) but  who will emerge on top in 2017?

Centrally located in the East Midlands, Belton International has become a firm favourite in the eventing calendar. As well as many of the best event riders in the world, the Horse Trials attracts crowds of spectators who flock in each year to enjoy the stunning setting, top class sport and the many other attractions laid on

These include everything from classic cars, dog display teams and 'have a go' dog agility, to an Inter-Hunt Relay, shopping at over 90 trade stands, crafts and a children's interactive zone. Sunday's Gate Jumping competition is a real crowd pleaser, and for those with energy to spare, the Grantham Cup 10k Trail Run is the region's favourite off road run. With so much on offer it really is a great day out for all the family, whatever their interests.

New for 2017 is a dedicated Members Area. Members will not only benefit from forward parking (less far to carry those bags of shopping), but a comfortable marquee in which to enjoy a free tea or coffee, and toilet facilities. For those in need of a rest it's the perfect place to read the paper and re-charge the batteries after some dedicated course walking or shopping.

Advance tickets, including for Membership, offer a substantial discount on gate prices. Additionally, individually tailored hospitality packages are available. From breakfast meetings to leisurely lunches with family, friends or clients, anything from silver service to finger food buffets can be accommodated for almost any size of gathering.
