The dressage phases are now complete for both the long and short format four-star classes running at Burnham Market this weekend, and Izzy Taylor finds herself at the top of both leaderboards.

CCI4* long format

Izzy and Mark Sartori's Monkeying Around leads the 4*L – the only 4*L to run in the UK this year due to Covid-19, which makes it the most prestigious event of the year following the cancellation of both Badminton and Burghley.

The nine-year-old German-bred gelding posted a score of 23.2, giving Izzy a three point advantage over Piggy March who lies in equal second place on both Dargun and Fonbherna Lancer. With Nicola Wilson on JL Dublin and Italy's Vittoria Panizzon riding Chequers Play the Game less than a penalty behind Piggy, there is all to play for in the jumping phases.

The 4*L cross country starts tomorrow morning at 11.45am, with Francis Whittington first out on course riding DHI Purple Rain. The cross country and showjumping phases for both classes will be live streamed on Horse & Country TV.

CCI4* short format

Izzy Taylor retained her overnight lead thanks to yesterday's Burnham Market record breaking dressage score of 20.3 on Camilla Behrens' Hartacker. This means she leads the 8/9-year-old leaderboard and the overall 4*S competition.

Today both Yasmin Ingham and Sweden's Therese Viklund slipped ahead of last night's runner up Oliver Townend, riding Banzai du Loir and Diabolique respectively. They share joint second place – two penalties behind Izzy, and one ahead of Oliver.

Some of the combinations have already showjumped, including Hartacker – a clear round inside the time allowed means that Izzy cannot be overtaken ahead of the cross country phase which takes place on Sunday (and will be live streamed). Oliver's ride Cillnabradden Evo also jumped clear, piling the pressure on both Yasmin and Therese who show jump tomorrow morning. The last 4*S competitors showjump from 9.30am, ahead of the start of the 4*L cross country phase.
