Le Grand Complet 2020 at Haras Le Pin

The Grand Complet, scheduled on August 13th -16th 2020 at the iconic site of the Haras National du Pin in Normandy will go ahead as in previous years with five international classes over four days of competition, including a leg of the FEI Nations Cup

The only international eventing competition in Normandy is set to welcome several hundred participants from the five scheduled classes of CCI2*-S, CCI2*-L, CCI3*-S, CCI3*-L and CCIO4*-S.

The Grand Complet will also serve as a support for the Grand National FFE circuit for French riders. Due to the unusual circumstances in 2020, the CCIO4*-S Nations Cup class will not only have an Individual and Team results but will also create a separate ranking exclusively for the French riders involved.

Ustica, the organising association, is expecting to be able to open access to visitors at a rate of 1,000 per day and the event returns to its Thursday to Sunday format, enabling spectators to attend cross-country as well as show jumping events Saturday and Sunday

No ticket offices will be open on site and tickets are only able to be purchased online. Visitors will be required to wear a mask (especially in high-traffic areas such as water complexes during cross-country tests) and respect the protective measures with sanitising gel available at various places on site.

Take-out food outlets will be set up to allow both visitors and participants alike to eat at the venue with two food trucks – Zito Burger and Au Vert Festin –at the top of the Hautbois park (formerly the location of the panoramic restaurant) and small Norman producers will also be offering grills and sandwiches on Saturday and Sunday from their stalls

And talking of food, the Grand Complet has also decided to strengthen its involvement with charities this year supporting the Norman branch of the French food bank Restos du Coeur, working with the most needy.

The single entry fee will be 8 Euros on Saturday and Sunday during the two days of cross-country (free admission on Thursday and Friday), from which 2 Euros will be donated to the Restos du Coeur. Ustica will also offer the association the opportunity to raise awareness of its cause.
