The first day of competition at the 2021 Saracen Horse Feeds Houghton International Horse Trials got underway on Thursday with China’s Alex Hua Tian setting an impressive score of 24.3 riding the 12-year-old gelding Jilsonne Van Bareelhof to take the lead in the CCIS4*O
Alex and Britain’s Oliver Townend posted the only two sub-30 scores; Oliver is currently in second place riding the 11-year-old Tregilder on 27 while Somerset’s Selina Milnes and Iron IV were spot on 30 for third place
Kitty King and MHS Monbeg Junior top the leader board so far in the CCI 2*L (Section A) and Ros Canter riding Shannondale Nadia currently lead the Section B
Wills Oakden and Will Rawlin share equal first place in the CCI3*-L Section C
