The Strzegom Nations Cup Eventing in May will feature a heavily rebuilt cross country in the lead up to the FEI European Eventing Championships in August

This year's Strzegom Horse Trials incorporating the FEI Nations Cup ™ Eventing will be held five weeks earlier than usual due to the preparation of the facility for the FEI European Eventing Championships in August. Final entries close on Monday 17th April and it is expected that the European riders will be keen to see the changes that have been taking place at Morawa for the Nations Cup event in the lead-up to the Europeans

Intensive preparations on the cross country are currently underway including the most important change at the start and the finish of the cross country, which are placed on the other side of the road. The start and the finish will be moved near to the location of where the CCI3 * fence number 3 is usually found meaning that both the start and the finish will be much closer to the stables

“The cross country course for this year’s Nations Cup has been designed in such way to give a last chance to familiarise with the topography of the Strzegom cross for horses and competitors who are preparing for the European Championships and on the other side to motivate the horses and riders before the start of the next preparation period” says Marcin Konarski, Event Director and the cross-country builder.

“This applies to 3*, 1* and 2* competitions while some of the obstacles on the 3* have been made specifically for the FEI European Eventing Championships”

There will be six international competitions taking place from 17th – 21st May at Strzegom; CIC1*, CCI1*, CIC2*, CCI2*, CCI3* and CICO3* - FEI Nations Cup ™ Eventing. With the cancellation of Fontainebleau, the first event of the Nations Cup series will take place at Montelibretti (22-23 April), followed by the Strzegom Horse Trials.
