Maxime Livio in the hunt for FEI Classics title

      Will Maxime Livio be heading to Burghley for the first time?

After finishing fifth at Luhmuhlen CCI4*Maxime Livio has managed to narrow the gap with runaway FEI Classics™ leader Michael Jung (GER) to just six points, and second placed Nicola Wilson has sprung from 11^th place in the rankings to third, so a thrilling finish is guaranteed at the finale at Burghley (GBR) in September.

Maxime has challenged Michael’s grip on the FEI Classics™ thanks to his win at Pau 2016, 2^nd place at Kentucky and fifth at Luhmuhlen while Michael was 2^nd at Pau, won at Kentucky and was 2^nd at Badminton

At the end of the season the three athletes with the highest number of points collected among the FEI Classics™ events (Pau, Adelaide, Lexington, Badminton, Luhmühlen, Burghley) are awarded prize money as follows;

1^st: US$ 40,000 (Series Champion)

2^nd: US$ 30,000

3^rd: US$ 20,000

Michael Jung took the booty and title in 2016 - we’re thinking we’ll be seeing Maxime Livio for the first time at Burghley this year!
