2022 Badminton Box Office open

The countdown to Badminton begins now as the Box Office opens for the first Badminton Horse Trials in three years

The return to CCI5* competition in Britain, at the regular venues of Badminton and Burghley, is highly anticipated, giving the Badminton crowds an opportunity to watch the British Olympic and European champions in action on home ground, alongside the very best international combinations vying to impress ahead of the World Championships in Italy in September.

“Badminton means the world to riders, it’s our ‘Wimbledon’, the one everyone wants to win and we’re all so looking forward to having it back,” says Tokyo 2020 team gold and individual silver medallist, Tom McEwen MBE.

2021 European Championship team gold medal and individual silver medallist Piggy March will also be delighted to return to the scene of her 2019 victory with 5* specialist Vanir Kamira

"Biggest riding memory? Badminton is my best, and the biggest. It was just so bloody brilliant” Piggy told us recently during A Day With Piggy March

One of the new initiatives for Badminton 2022 is that parking and admission tickets can only be bought in advance — there will be no tickets available at the gate.

Another is that Badminton’s new pay-to-view live-streaming service will enable everyone to keep up with the action whether attending as a spectator or watching from home. Now available for purchase via the Badminton TV page of the website for a discounted annual fee of £14.99; if purchased from 1st April onwards the cost will be £19.99 and, even if you are unable to watch it live, you won’t miss a beat of the action, as it will be possible to view on demand post-event.

“We are hugely excited at the prospect of providing a wonderful five days of competition and seeing everyone back at Badminton again,” said Horse Trials Director Jane Tuckwell.

“We know how much the event means to riders, owners, sponsors, trade stand holders and spectators, and we are doing our best to ensure everyone has a thoroughly enjoyable visit after a two-year-break. It should be a great celebration.”
