Keysoe (1) 2019 – find out more here

The College Equestrian Centre at Keysoe is not only a very popular equestrian training and livery facility in North Bedfordshire but it also offers top class competition across the disciplines, including three British Eventing competitions each year in May, June and August.

With the recent announcement regarding the British Eventing 2020 – 2025 international fixtures, the big news for Keysoe devotees is that, in addition to running classes from BE80 up to Intermediate and an unaffiliated three day event at 70 - 100cms, it will now also host an International fixture from July 2020

With good transport links, recent onsite stabling development and hook up facilities, newly refurbished indoor and outdoor surfaces and a major revamp to the cross-country course, riders from the Eastern Counties and Midlands, if not further afield, will be flocking to compete in the new CCI2*-S and CCI3*-S next year

Keysoe’s cross country courses are set in 200 acres of grass and forestry land behind the equestrian centre and are constantly being improved and renewed by course designer Angus Smales. They include water complex and steps, with a good range of solid well-built inviting obstacles suitable for experienced competitors and those new to the levels

All cross country tracks are all sanded and aerovation takes place as required while all competition and warm up turf has been improved over the winter with wood based compost. The dressage arenas and dressage warm up takes place on sand dressed improved turf, with four of the dressage arenas on all-weather surfaces. The show jumping and indoor warm up arena also takes place on a Martin Collins Pro-track all weather arena

Grassed banks overlooking the outdoor arena provide good viewing areas and the popular café is open at all events selling hot and cold meals and snacks along with hot, cold and alcoholic drinks

Keysoe (1) was cancelled in 2018 due to weather conditions but our video of Ben Way and Hullabaloo II, winners of the Novice at Keysoe (2) gives a good feel for the facility
