Georgie Wood receives the keys to her Musto 4x4 from SsangYong GB
Winning cars seems to be all the rage this year. Chris Burton and Kim Severson drove away in cars from the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International and a few weeks later Georgie Wood found herself the very excited winner of a car at the South of England International
Georgie and Sjapso Le Sursaut were the winners of the Musso Accumulator and, as the top horse and rider partnership accumulating points from the OI or AI at the South of England (1), the OI at Eridge and the OI or CIC2* at the South of England (2), they were presented with the keys to a SsangYong Musto 4x4 pick-up which they have the use of for a year
It went down to the wire as Georgie and Pippa Funnell were equal first on a score of 5X at the start of the third event so Georgie knew she would have to put in a good performance. Her 18 year old Sjapo Le Sursaut put his best foot forward for a score of 29.6, added just one rail in the show jumping and then came home with 10 time penalties on cross country, one of the quicker rounds of the day for 10th place overall
Pippa did take second place but she was riding Billy The Biz while her Accumulator horse, ChippieH was withdrawn before the cross country and Georgie galloped to a series win
Sjapso Le Sursaut is a very special horse for Georgie and saved for special occasions – this was certainly one! Georgie told us more about him and we wonder who ended up driving the car!
