A great result for Greta at Rockingham

Greta and Cafre First Melody,14th in the Open Intermediate Under 21

We first spoke to Greta Mason last year at Allerton Park when she had just started her career as a professional eventing rider after leaving school. At Rockingham Castle International last weekend she had her first win at Intermediate level, winning the Open Intermediate Under 21 on Chillout Girl, a nine year old grey mare.

Greta produced one of only two double clear cross country rounds and one of only four double clear showjumping rounds in the class to take the win. Her other horse, the seven year old mare Cafre First Melody, finished 14th in the class and this weekend she heads to Houghton Hall with Cooley For Sure and Tinker’s Pearl in the CCIYR2*

Houghton International hosts the second leg of this year’s FEI Nations Cup Series and Greta is one of the few riders who  we could see on either a British or Australian team in the years to come thanks to her dual nationality
