Rockingham Castle’s Great Park is the perfect venue for eventing, with more than 145 acres of spectacular parkland and stunning views of the Welland Valley for competitors and spectators to enjoy. It also offers a central location in the heart of the East Midlands where riders from around 20 nations are expected to compete over the three days

In addition to the international CCI2*-S and 3*-S classes, the Loomes Championship will also return this year where the Advanced Intermediate or Open Intermediate competitor who completes the cross country course closest to the optimum time will receive a beautiful hand-produced watch worth nearly £9,000 made by Robert Loomes & Co in Stamford. Previous winners include Austen O’Connor, Sir Mark Todd, Oliver Townend and Jonty Evans and you can be sure to see some well-timed cross country action as riders battle it out for this sought-after prize.

Castle owners, James and Lizzie Saunders Watson are delighted to be opening up their stunning estate once again: “The Horse Trials is a great highlight of the year for our family and something we all look forward to,” says Lizzie, who is always busily involved at the event “It is a privilege to be able to host such high-quality sport at Rockingham and we look forward to welcoming competitors and spectators for this year’s event.”

The event will be sponsored for a second year by the luxury lifestyle brand, Fairfax & Favor so make sure you put your fancy boots on!
