Horseware Hale Bob aimed for Rio

Horseware Hale Bob OLD will now be Ingrid's mount if selected for Rio

One of the favourites for Badminton, Ingrid Klimke’s Horseware Hale Bob OLD has been withdrawn as Ingrid re-focuses for Rio following injury to SAP Escada FRH

Ingrid's SAP Escada FRH has damaged a ligament and will now be on an extended break for the rest of 2016. While obviously disappointed Ingrid says that ‘we have to put her health before any competition, including our bid for the Olympic Games in Rio’

Luckily for Ingrid, the 12 year old Hannoverian mare owned by Madeleine Winter Schulze is not her only hope for Rio and plans have now changed for to aim Horseware Hale Bob for the Olympic Games

“Horseware Hale Bob OLD is in top form and with his winning the 4 star in Pau and second place at Badminton as well as his team gold at the European Championships in Blair means I will be focusing Bobby on Rio. As a result we will now make a new competition plan for this season. Horseware Hale Bob OLD will not be travelling to Badminton but instead will start at Wiesbaden, Luhmühlen and Aachen” says Ingrid on her website
