Kicking off at Tattersalls

The 2017 Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair is off and running with today’s first horse inspection

The event takes place from the Wednesday 31st May to 4th June 2017 at Ratoath in Co Meath and is hosting the usual eight classes from CCI3* to 1* Junior and Pony classes, but this year the timetable also includes the first FEI Nations Cup Eventing competition at the famous venue

To add an extra challenge the course designer Ian Stark has turned the tracks around for all classes

“This gives a totally different feel and creates some very exciting new challenges for the rider. Riders returning to Tatts 2017 will certainly need to allow extra time for serious course walking!”

Also taking place is a huge country fair tailored especially for families, with free admission for Under 12s with mini ponies and dog show displays along with a free toddler zone, traditional Carnival rides and an activity area. The Shopping Village will once again play host to Ireland’s leading country brands with an artisan food and craft market adds to the wonderful atmosphere and country vibe.
