Whitfield Horse Trials is one of those mid-week events that is perfect for confidence boosting runs at lower levels for those heading out the following weekend or have had a bit of a disaster the previous one. Run on the site of Whitfield Racecourse in Northamptonshire, the course does have some nice undulations and experienced course designer Alec Lochore makes good use of the natural features plus this year has added in a newly constructed water fence
Dressage, show jumping and cross country run for BE90, BE90 Open, Novice, Open Novice on Tuesday 23rd while the phases are run for BE80(T), BE90, BE100, BE100 Open on Wednesday. It is a small, friendly event, centrally located and is also a part of the Tri-Star Saracen Horse Feeds Grassroots League and the Fairfax Saddles Novice League so competitors get a chance to boost their points tally in the middle of the week!
The event was cancelled in 2018 due to the weather and ground conditions but when the sun is out, it’s a great little mid-week event
