Australian Eventing Selection Policy for WEG 2018

 

 

Equestrian Australia has today released its Eventing Selection Policy for the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA

The policy outlines the process and timeline for the eventual selection of five combinations plus one travelling reserve to compete at Tryon WEG 2018 from 13th – 16th September 2018

The National Eventing Selection Panel (NESP) will select up to 12 horse and athlete combinations to be nominated to the FEI by 19th June 2018 and a squad of eight combinations will be selected by 26th July 2018

From these, five (5) combinations will be selected to compete at WEG plus three unranked reserve combinations and on 4 September 2018 one of the WEG Reserves will be nominated as Travelling Reserve to travel with the WEG Team.

Following the First Horse Inspection at the WEG, the NESP, in consultation with the Chef d’Equipe, will nominate the four team combinations and one individual combination to represent Australia.
