Alltech FEI WEG 2014 Normandy - Eventing

Zara Phillips was the trailblazer on cross country this morning for the British team - here she talks about her ride on High Kingdom

Chris Burton’s horse TS  Jamaimo has been withdrawn from the 2014 World Equestrian Games (WEG) Eventing competition, after team veterinarians in consultation with Burton deemed the horse not fit to compete.

The dressage is done and changes made to Pierre Michelet's cross country course. Find out what happened in the last phase of the dressage and what the riders think of the course they will face tomorrow

Two of the riders competing this morning; New Zealand’s Lucy Jackson and Australia’s Shane Rose tell us about the atmosphere of the dressage stadium and the effect it has on the horses

William Fox-Pitt

William Fox-Pitt's smile shows his delight at currently leading the dressage phase on Chilli Morning but the main topics of conversation around the (muddy) tracks are the cross country course and wet weather at Le Pin

Come for a look behind the scenes at the eventing venue for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games to check out the warm-up areas, vet area and even a saddler on hand for those last minute repairs

Although the grounds at Le Haras du Pin, the venue for the eventing at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, may be a bit soggy after the past two days’ rain, the runway in front of the Chateau was perfectly groomed and solid for the all important first horse inspection

Of course one of the most important times of day in France is lunch time - so where are the WEG specatators, riders and officials heading to eat around the main stadium in Caen?
