The National Equestrian Centre in Taupo, New Zealand will host not only the Reyna Equestrian Spring Horse Trials from 18th - 20th November but has also welcomed FEI eventing officials from around the world

The biggest FEI Seminar ever held in New Zealand is taking place this week with 42 participants from Australia, Japan, USA, Finland, Germany, Great Britain and New Zealand.

New Zealanders Helen Christie and Susan O’Brien are two of the FEI appointed Seminar Directors, joined by visiting internationals Ian Stark (GBR), Philine Ganders-Meyer (GER), Christian Landholt (SUI), Stuart Buntine (GBR), and Geoff Sinclair (AUS).

Following the cancellation of many FEI Regional Seminars in 2020/21 due to the pandemic, this FEI Seminar in New Zealand is open to global, as opposed to regional, participants to ensure that eventing officials can access courses to continue their existing status or upgrade to the next level

Training for course designers, technical delegates and judges is taking place from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th while Stewards are attending from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th.

The Reyna Equestrian Spring Horse Trials taking place at the same time will provide some light entertainment for the hard-working officials attending the Seminar

The event classes not only include National levels from 80cm to CCN2* and International short format classes at CCI2*, CCI3* and CCI4* but will also crown the 2022 New Zealand Young and Junior Rider National One Day Champions. The Young Rider Championship is held at CCI3*-S level for the Charisma Trophy and the Junior Riders will contest the CCN2*-S for the Hoffman Trophy
