About An Eventful Life

An Eventful Life is all about the world of the equestrian sport of eventing. We provide eventing fans with on-line news and event information alongside our cross country video service which allows competitors, coaches, family and friends the opportunity to relive their full cross country round via our video service.

We film at more than 70 events a year in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to assist and/or manage the videoing at events in the UK. Previous videography experience not essential but may be useful

Following in-field training you will be responsible for the setting up and monitoring of cameras throughout the day at selected events. You will also be required to liaise with event organisers to provide footage to assist with the resolution of rider disputes and footage to assist with rider/spectator safety

This is an opportunity to take on a role of responsibility and to work with a well respected company working internationally within the sport of eventing.

 

The role

We are looking for people to assist with the production of our cross country video service during eventing competitions. The work will involve working over the whole weekend plus the Friday and Monday to travel and set up for the event.

The eventing season runs between March and October each year and you will be required to travel to events throughout the UK

An attractive remuneration package is on offer and all travel, accommodation and out of pocket expenses will be paid by An Eventful Life

 

Skills and personal attributes

The successful applicants will be well organised with an outgoing and friendly personality who enjoy travel and working outdoors. You will ideally have some photographic/videography experience although this is not essential.

Familiarity with equestrian environments is preferred and an understanding of the sport of eventing will be a definite advantage.

You must have a current driver’s licence and be a car owner. As the work is outdoors you will need to be comfortable working in all weather conditions, the work can be demanding physically and so a reasonable level of physical fitness is essential.

Full training will be provided; a work schedule for 2023 will be prepared and mutually agreed upon with the successful applicant.
