Poland has gained its eventing team slot for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after its win in the CCIO4*-L FEI Olympic Qualification Event for Group C at Baborowko Equestrian Festival (POL) on 21st May

Poland’s Jan Kaminski riding Jard, won the individual CCIO4*-L competition finishing on a score of 37.8, ahead of another Polish combination, Mateusz Kiempa and Libertina, and his team-mate Małgorzata Korycka with Cavalencia.

It was a great pleasure to compete here, and we see you in Paris!" says the winner, Jan Kaminski.

Poland was the only team to complete the CCIO4*-L Qualifier, after the Czech team had to withdraw after the first horse inspection due to only having two competitors, and a difficult day on cross country for the Hungarian team.

Poland completed the qualifier with all four riders on a total score of 129.9

Individual Minimum Eligibility Requirements (MERs) were also being chased and achieved.

"It may seem like it was so easy, whereas I think each rider will confirm that it was a very difficult as well as demanding competition” says Poland's representative in the CCIO4*-L Olympic competition and member of the Baborówko Equestrian Association, Paweł Warszawski.

“On top of that, every athlete has to have the minimum qualification and of us have achieved it here."
