Chris Bartle to host 2016 Aus3DE Masterclass

 

Organisers of the 2016 Australian International Three Day Event (Aus3de) are thrilled to welcome German Eventing Team Gold Medal Coach Christopher Bartle as the event’s first International Ambassador and Masterclass host for the 2016 Aus3de. 

Since 2001, Christopher has been the National Coach to the German Olympic Three Day Event Team - Winners of Team and Individual Gold medals at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and London in 2012, as well as coaching Michael Jung, Individual World Champion in Kentucky 2010. He has also coached the German Eventing Team at the World Equestrian Games in 2014 in Normandy where they again won Team and Individual Gold.

Prior to 2001 and his German Team appointment, Christopher was the  British Eventing Team Dressage Trainer, for the 1996 Atlanta Games and the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

As a competitor, Christopher has a long affiliation with international level Dressage and Eventing successfully representing Great Britain in Dressage and winning the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials on Word Perfect who was travelling Reserve for Sydney Olympics. He also runs the very successful Yorkshire Riding centre in the UK. As a coach Christopher received the British Horse Society's Trainers Award, in 1995 and in 2001 was awarded Honorary Fellowship of the British Horse Society.

Aus3de Event Director Gillian Rolton said it is an honour to have someone of Christopher’s expertise in Adelaide for the Australian International 3 Day event.

“We are privileged to have Christopher in Adelaide for the Aus3de Event this November,” Gillian said. “He is widely respected on an international scale, with Olympic scores on the board as a trainer, backed up by years as a top level rider and coach.”

“He has trained many British and German International level riders, but also enjoys coaching many riders at all levels on the basic principles of good riding and progressive gymnastic training of the horse and rider partnership. It will be a fantastic opportunity for Australian riders and spectators to learn from his wisdom when he conducts the Masterclasses and Cross Country course walks over the course of the weekend at Aus3de,” she said.

Christopher will be in Adelaide for the 2016 Aus3de, to be held from 3-6 November 2016. He will conduct Masterclasses and course walks during the event, which will be open to all who attend the Aus3de and will do some exclusive on course commentary of the dressage phase. A timetable for the Masterclasses and course walks will be available on the event website.
