An Eventful Life is filming at Sydney Eventing Spring Classic 2026 – order your full cross country video here
It seems that winter is well and truly over in Australia with temperatures set to hit 30 degrees at the Camden Equine Centre Sydney Eventing Spring Classic (5th & 6th September). As the (long) name suggests, it is a spring event so it looks like we’d better get ready for a hot summer!
The Sydney International Equestrian Centre will welcome over 400 competitors this weekend, taking part in national classes from EvA65 to CCN4*. With Saturday the hot day, the competitors in the five sections of the EvA65 and three sections of EvA95, will get a taste of summer when they head out on cross country while all other competitors do cross country on the cooler Sunday.
Cathryn (Catie) Herbert and her black stallion Wimborne Constable won the CCN4* here last year and Catie is one of the 13 competitors in this year’s University of Sydney Equine Centre Camden CCN4*-S (the commentator is really going to have their work cut out for them this weekend), this year riding CH Don Quixote. Emma Bishop and Bobby Dazzler, last year’s CCN3* winners are also back, this time in the 4*, having had a very good run at the Melbourne International 3 Day Event where they were runners-up in the CCI3*-L.
The 13 entries in the Assistance Dogs Australia CCN3*-S include Sam Woods, recently returned from the World Championships Aachen, and Shane Rose on two horses we might get to see at future Championships, Cat Fish and Cooley All Over while the CCN2*-S is awash with off the track thoroughbreds including Shenae Lowings and the celebrity ex-racehorse Zaaki.
