An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at 2026 Canberra International Horse Trials – order or view videos here
The organisers of the 2026 Canberra International Horse Trials (20th – 22nd March) may have had their work cut out to get everything shipshape after flash flooding at Equestrian Park a few weeks ago, but it is now full steam ahead for this week’s event.
Over 300 horses and riders will be taking part in classes from EvA65 to CCI4*-S with Emma Mason and KPH Kingfisher, the CCN4* winners at Sydney Eventing Autumn Classic two weeks ago, heading up the Asset Hire Construction CCI4* class. Shane Rose and Holy Moses, runners-up to Emma at Sydney CCN, are also one of the hot favourites and local rider Hannah Klep, who put in a great run here last year on board Tulara Chicouve, will be looking to do the same again.
The action starts with dressage on Friday for the CCI2*-L and some EvA95, 80 and 65 sections with the CCI4* competitors doing dressage and showjumping on Saturday followed by cross country on Sunday. The CCI2* and EvA80 classes all go cross country on Saturday across the Grant Johnston designed cross country tracks.
We’ll be filming all competitors on both days of cross country and will be back with updates on Saturday and Sunday plus full report next week! See you there!
