Andrew Barnett and the off the track thoroughbred Chasing Great galloped around cross country at Quirindi Eventing CCI to move into the lead of the Boonoona Design CCI4*-S today. The pair were by far the fastest on course, adding just 8.8 time penalties to now lead the class on a score of 41.3 heading into the final phase on Sunday.

The overnight leader Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar moved down to fourth after picking up 20 jumping penalties but Oliver’s other ride on Sandhills Gem has moved into third place (64.70).

Stuart Tinney holds both first and second places in the Bundella Station CCI3*-S with Caruso maintaining his lead from yesterday, adding 9.2 time penalties to head into tomorrow’s showjumping on a score of 36.90. Stuart also quite a few penalties in hand over his second placed horse, Fernhill Aisling Star (44.70) while Tekira Wilde riding her own El Dorado is now in third place (46.4) with the third fastest ride of the day, 8.4 time penalties. Matilda Seppelt riding TAE Caspia made the jump of the day, from 11th to fourth, adding just two time penalties with the quickest round.
