Jacqueline White may have let her top spot after dressage slip at Junee Prime Lamb REA Wagga Horse Trials at Narrandera 2025 on Saturday, but she claimed it back for the eventual CCN2* win on Sunday’s cross country.

On another beautifully sunny winter’s day at the Narrandera Pony Club and Rodeo Grounds in NSW, Jacqueline and APH Angelique produced the fastest time on the CCN2* course, adding just 0.8 time penalties to finish on top of the leaderboard with a score of 38.30. The experienced Nat Blundell riding Quality Cracken was the next fastest, but still a way off Jacqueline’s time, adding eight time penalties to move up to second place (48.40) with Annabelle Stott Despoje not far behind her, finishing in third place (49.70) on board DP Democracy.

The 2* course took its toll with just four of the nine competitors completing and most of the problems coming early in the course so well done to those who made it home!

The Matavia Performance Horses CCN1* cross country caused its fair share of problems too, even for Olympian Shenae Lowings who led after the first two phases on Saturday. When both Shenae and Hannah Rockwell, in second place overnight, dropped out of contention, Kylah Brewer riding the off the track thoroughbred Princess Keikilani happily stepped up to the plate.

Kylah took first place by adding just 0.4 time penalties on cross country to win on 27.70 while Jess Grossman had the distinction of finishing on her dressage score of 28.0 riding TwoHearts Delight. Both combinations were well ahead of the rest of the field, including third placed Emily Worgan riding Prodane who enjoyed a double clear ride today but had added four penalties in yesterday’s showjumping to finish on 34.80.

Shenae didn’t go home empty handed however, taking second place in the EvA95B on Texas Holdem and her partner Sam Woods claimed the EvA80B on board Harris Park Elliston. Well known coach Sandy Lucas also had a good day at the office with her horses, taking home two wins in the EvA80 and EvA65.

Congratulations to all winners and placegetters and well done to the Riverina Equestrian Association for putting together the 50th Anniversary celebration – here’s to 50 more!
