Interschools Horse Extravaganza (ISHE) cross country videos
Liam Mackenzie-Smith and Sandhills Invader pulled off their third 3* win in a row at the Interschools Horse Extravaganza (ISHE) at Tamworth last week, adding the CCN2* title to those at Quirindi CCI2*-L and Australian National Interschools.
Liam and Sandhills Invader, last year’s winners of the CCN1* at ISHE were once again up against Lydia Proctor riding Sandhills Style at the multi-discipline equestrian event held each year at the Australian Equine and Livestock Centre in Tamworth, NSW.
This year it was Lydia that led the way after dressage but Liam’s faultless jumping phases with just 1.2 time penalties in the showjumping secured the win on a score of 32.60, well ahead of Lydia on 49.90.
“We're incredibly grateful when it all comes together eventing especially as it's not the easiest sport to be consistent. I'm not sure when / if he will get a hat-trick again!” says Liam’s mum, Karen Mackenzie-Smith, who kindly adds that “We also appreciate the video service you provide. It's been a useful tool over the years for Liam, gosh I think since he was just 12yrs old”
Hopefully one day we’ll be interviewing Liam at Adelaide or at an overseas event and we’ll be very proud!
