The 2025 Limitless Lodge Sydney International Three-Day Event (21st –23rd November) will not only have plenty of eventing action, with international competition ranging from CCI2*-L to CCI4*-L and grassroots competition from 65cm to 1* but will also be celebrating a very special memory.
The event is held each year at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park, the venue of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games where Australia won team gold and individual silver on home soil. Not surprisingly therefore this year will see a celebration of 25 years since the Sydney Olympic Games with lots of fun and Olympians joining in.
There will a special Sydney Olympic memorabilia stand and a chance to (literally) become an Olympian – just pop your head in the photo custom cut outs!
The Saturday evening Hannover Lodge Pizza Party is always fun at Sydney International with free pizza for all in the Indoor Arena and our other four-legged friends getting involved in the friendly but hotly contested (by the owners at least!) dog racing. Olympian Shane Rose usually gets involved in this by providing commentary but this year he has another challenge on his plate that may keep him busy.
Triple Olympic medallist Shane will be taking part in a 3 on 3 polo match put on by the Muddy Flats Polo Club, but he won’t be the only Olympic medallist taking part as he will be faced by Sydney Olympic gold medallist Stuart Tinney on the opposing team. Neither Stuart nor Shane have played polo before so this should be fun!
Andrew Hoy and Phillip Dutton were also part of the Sydney 2000 Olympic medal winning team and, although they can’t be with us in Sydney this year, they will be joining in via video, sending their messages to be broadcast on the big screen in the Indoor Arena.
There will be lots more happening on the evening, including a Horsemanship Presentation by Charlie Brister, so make sure you get down to the Limitless Lodge Sydney International Three Day for Saturday evening as well as enjoying all the eventing action during the day.
