Quirindi Eventing CCN Horse Trials 2025 XC Videos
Andrew Barnett riding Oscar Park Deluge and Catie Herbert riding Wimborne Constable were the two combinations to break the 30 penalties dressage barrier in the Boonoona Design CCN4* class at Quirindi on Saturday but it is Andrew who holds the lead on a score of 28.30 heading into Sunday’s showjumping and cross country.
Catie and her stallion Wimborne Constable, who are on the CCI4*-S entry list for Adelaide, hold second place (29.10) with Emma Mason and her Canberra CCI3* winner Warrego Marco Polo stepping back up to 4* in third place (31.0).
Andrew is also in the top three of the Bundella Station CCN3*, holding third place (32.30) on the thoroughbred Chasing Great, another Adelaide entry, this time in the CCI3*-L behind Niki Rose riding Dreamrush (29.70) and Emma Bishop, holding the lead with Bobby Dazzler on 28.50.
Zoe Hutchinson holds the top spot in the Quirindi Plumbing CCN2* riding WHF Diametric, with the only sub-30 score of 27.90 but Christine Bates almost got into that category, sitting bang on a score of 30 on board Statford Matilda at the mare’s first 2* while Stephanie Commens riding Belcam CD will be kicking herself for an error of course that puts them into third (30.40).
Four sections of EvA80, the EvA50 and associated levels of Pony Club sections headed out on cross country this afternoon in beautiful Quirindi sunshine and put in some great performances.
Amber Woodland riding Taya Lee Aladdin, leaders of the Quirindi Plumbing EvA80 Section C, gets our top score of the day award. They finished Saturday on a very impressive score of 21.4 after dressage and cross country, having started on an even more impressive dressage score of 15.0! Ginny Stubbs riding Barrington Jester is very close behind on 21.5, having started on 21.10 in the dressage but scooted around cross country to add just 0.4 time penalties. Third placed Melinda Ryan went slightly faster, finishing on her dressage score of 23.90 with all EvA80 classes yet to do their showjumping tomorrow for their final result.
It seems that the leaders of the EvA80 sections were on a roll today; Tayla Clarke and Tarcoola Boat Club were another impressive combination, leading the Quirindi Plumbing EvA80 Junior on a score of 18.30 after dressage and cross country, Tanya Bartlett riding Windmill Lodge Fox In Socks leads the Section A on 22.80 and Ashleigh Porter riding Hard Expectations leads the Section B on their dressage score of 25.80.
