Shane Rose has taken the inaugural CCI4*-S class at Willinga Park riding Easy Turn
On a sunny Sunday at the purpose-built equestrian property built by Terry Snow at Bawley Point, NSW, Shane produced the fastest time on the Ewan Kellett designed cross country course to take the win in the 4CYTE CCI4*, moving up from third after Saturday’s dressage and showjumping.
Andrew Barnett riding Go Tosca took second place and Queensland’s Andrew Cooper made the journey worthwhile, taking third place on Pepper Jack.
The inaugural eventing competition, which has been postponed various times due to Covid, flooding and bushfires also ran the Shepherd Electrical CCI3*-S, won by Sam Woods riding SS Eight Count, the Construction Control CCI2*-S won by Christine Bates riding Bloomfield Findon and the 4CYTE CCN1*-S won by Georgia Spangaro riding Lord Wimborne.
