REA Wagga Horse Trials at Narrandera cross country videos
It was a beautiful sunny Saturday for the first day of the 2025 Junee Prime Lamb REA Wagga Horse Trials at Narrandera where competition got underway across the classes.
Both the CCN2* and CCN1* classes completed dressage and showjumping today with Bethany-Jane Rainbow riding Kellerains Nullaki leading the Junee Prime Lamb CCN2* on a score of 36.10 at the end of the day. It was a very close thing however with the dressage leader, Jacqueline White riding APH Angelique and Bethany-Jane dropping a pole apiece in the showjumping, but Jacqueline also added two time faults in the showjumping, moving her down to second place (37.5).
Shenae Lowings and Sandhills Shiver, yet another lovely young horse produced by Prue and Craig Barrett, lead the Matavia Performance Horses CCN1* and again it is a close thing between first and second places. Shenae led after the dressage with a very good score of 24.0 but Hannah Rockwell riding Hermes Des Brandieres is chasing the Olympic and World Championship rider on a score of 24.8 after both combinations also showjumped clear.
While the EvA95 and EvA50 also showjumped today, the EvA65 and EvA80 classes will showjump on Sunday when all competitors head out on cross country. There are some very smart new fences out on course, including an impressive new sunken road complex, plus some iconic fences that have been around throughout the event’s 50-year history being celebrated this weekend!
