Sydney Eventing Autumn Classic 2026 entries open

Entries are open for the REC Equine Specialists Sydney Eventing Autumn Classic 2026, taking place at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC), Horsley Park with competition on 7th and 8th March and a Dressage Protocol day on Friday 6th.

The popular event that kicks off eventing in NSW is back with old favourites, some new innovations and a couple of changes to the usual schedule.

This year, the event is using Event Secretary as its entry and scoring platform so make sure you’re heading to the right place to enter! You can find everything you need on Event Secretary here and entries are now open.

National Star classes are being run at CCN4*, CCN3*, CCN2* and CCN1* levels alongside two sections of EvA95 (Open and Junior). Back by popular demand are the Amateur classes for EvA 65cm and 80cm levels, providing three sections at each of these levels (Open, Amateur and Junior). EvA 65cm and 80cm competitors who may not yet be EA Members also have the option of weekend club membership (please note that this does not provide the EA member personal insurance), giving you a great opportunity to have a go without committing to full membership.

As SIEC will have major works going on in the Main Arena and Arena 2, these arenas will not be used for this event. This means that some classes (particularly the CCN3* and CCN4*) will do their dressage tests on the grass Hack Arena, by the North Truck Park

The Star classes will also show jump in the Indoor arena. Arena familiarisation (and the opportunity to jump) will be available on Friday afternoon and possibly for a limited time on Saturday morning.

The Dressage Protocol Day is back on Friday 6th with Beth Turner and Carolyn James as guest judges. This is a fantastic opportunity for dressage training and getting your horse familiar with the surrounds at SIEC – find out more about what goes on during Dressage Protocol Day in our article from the Sydney Eventing Spring Classic 2025.
