Sydney at SIEC Summer event postponed

The various effects of the NSW bushfires have prompted the organising committee of the Sydney Eventing @ SIEC summer event, to have been held on February 22nd and 23rd, to postpone until later in the year

“Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone our February event” says Georgie Lorson, on behalf of the Sydney @ SIEC committee “With the fires, drought, extremely poor air quality, road closures and very firm ground at SIEC we feel it is in everyone’s best interest to run the event later in the year”

The Sydney Eventing @ SIEC summer event runs in February each year, early in the Australian calendar and usually attracts over 400 competitors, keen to get their season underway. But all is not lost for the event that hosts classes from EvA65 up to CNC4*-S at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC) at Horsley Park, venue for the equestrian sports at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games

The event will now run on 4th & 5th July and we’re delighted that we will be filming all competitors on cross country and covering the event on the website during the new dates

So, save the dates and we’ll see you there in July! In the meantime, here’s a little reminder of last year’s event when Shane Rose and Virgil won the CNC4*-S
